About Us

We are only a small Kennel that focuses on quality rather than quantity. We focus also on having top show dogs, which are also lovely companion dogs, and are good family orientated, and thankfully we also have NZ’s top show dogs.
Our family (Nigel, Robynne, Amylee and Ashleigh) live on a small lifestyle block, in the Moutere Valley, about 45 minutes drive from Nelson. The dogs love the country life, chasing the rabbits and generally having a good time.
Nigel is licensed to judge groups 1,3,4,5,6,7 and hopefully soon with have his all breeds status. Amy-lee is one of NZ’s top junior handlers, and won the NZ final in 2006 and 2008 to represent New Zealand at the prestigious Crufts Dog Show.
Ashleigh is our small bore rifle shooter, and is currently in the NZ Junior development squad, she is very passionate about her shooting.
Myself (Robynne) love having the dogs around, weather it be in the show ring, or relaxing at home.

In 2002 we were lucky to have Mathew (Aust and NZ Grand CH Ngaruru Don’t Stop Me Now) come to live with us. A magnificent dog that has stamped his mark both here in NZ and Australia both as a show dog, also a top stud dog. Mathew has done us proud in the show ring, obtaining many best in show wins both all breeds and speciality. It did not take us long to obtain his grand title, (something which is very special to us, and NZ)
We then purchased our foundation bitch, NZ Wongan Capriccio (DJ) from Stephanie Rickard (Wongan Kennels) she arrived as a beautiful 12 week old pup, she to has done us proud in the show ring and also producing lovely puppies.
Also in our Kennels we have NZ Ch Arawhiti Rock DJ, (Claire/bear) she is now 3 years old, soon to have her first litter. Claire is our first homebred champion, she loves cuddles, and spends all day at your side, she to has done very well in the show ring.
In 2007 we repeated the mating between DJ and Mathew (the results were great!!)
DJ produced 3 beautiful puppies, 2 of which are currently very active in the show ring.
Aust CH Arawhiti Shoot n Star, who lives with the Stobies In Victoria, and is beautifully handled by Chris Stobie in Australia, and NZ Ch Arawhiti Mr Fahrenheit (Buzz) who lives with us, at only 16 months of age he has already gained 3 All Breeds Best In Shows, and is well on his way also on gaining his Grand Title. He also has many age groups in show awards, also following in his father’s foot steps, winning Best Of Group (Gundog). A lovely strong boy with the true springer movement!

Our family love the Springer’s both as family dogs and show dogs, but would like to emphasis that they are our pets first, but thankfully they are also top show dogs
