Hello, My name is Amy-lee Trainor and I am 16 years old. I am a year 11 at Nelson Collage for Girls. Ever since I was 5 years old I have been showing dogs. My first dog that I owned and showed was a Pekingese named Dizzy. Now I Currently own and handle a Springer Spaniel named Bruce, but also love to handle many breeds such as English pointers.

In 2006 I was chosen to represent New Zealand at Crufts 2007. This was an awesome experience and I loved it heaps. On March the 2nd we left for England and on March the 8th we found ourselves at Crufts, The Biggest dog show in the world. It was really nerve racking walking through the doors on the first day. But as each day passed I grew more accustomed to all the people and dogs.

All the juniors from their countries were really nice and I made heaps more friends. We had a formal evening and then onto the final. I loved it so much. In the ring I got an English pointer for my first dog and a Kerry Blue for my second dog. I felt very proud running in to the main arena when New Zealand was called out. Fortunately I was lucky enough to be selected into the top 10. This has been my best achievement in dog showing.
